LOVE LINES PART 1 – Brad Pitt: How to Seduce Venus in Hollywood

Astro-Locality assists each of us in finding love, in all the right places. A famous “love-lines” example is Brad Pitt. Brad was born in Oklahoma and his Moon and Venus Local Space lines arc out through Southern California, extremely close to Hollywood. All of Venus’s representations have been actualized by Brad in this location. First, his wife Angelina and […]
What Entrepreneurs can Learn from Arnold Schwarzenneger, Astrocartography, and Big Daddy Jupiter

Jupiter – planet of fortune, success, and opportunity. Sounds enticing. But how can Arnold Schwarzenegger’s astrology in California inspire all entrepreneurs, coaches, and teachers to follow your Jupiter lines? Astrologers are in general agreement, an have been for millenia, that planets are strongest when they are located on angles in your chart. Thus, if a […]
The Importance of Relocated Charts
These days, few of us live where we were born. This fact alone suggests the vital importance of interpreting our birth charts as if we were born in the area we currently live. Although the imprint of your birth chart will always be carried with you, your influences will be vastly different depending on where […]
How to Lie like a President: Gemini Donald Trump and Mercury Retrograde

Happy Autumn Equinox to you this Thursday!!
In preparing to return to the U.S. of A after four months of teaching and performing in Europe, with very little attunement to the grey skies of the American political landscape, I dialed in CNN last week to check the latest news and was called to write this essay and a few others about the Astrology of our Presidential Candidates as the “election” day appears. This one is particularly timely because it relates to Mercury Retrograde and the news of Trump’s health records. (Please note the emphasis on the shadow expressions of these signs and planets. Perhaps a larger spiritual purpose to politicians is to teach us through negative examples of what not to become….)
Mercury, planet of communication, ideas, and information, has been retrograde in Virgo (August 30-September 22)—a sign which relates specifically to health, diet, and the finer details of life. Thus, the entire retrograde period has been dominated by stories about the health, stamina, and medical records of both the candidates. During all Mercury Retrograde cycles, it’s important to read between the lines, or lies, and to find the missing information.
The story goes: as a limo driver waited for Trump out front, personal doctor of over 35 years Harold Bornstein stated, on the record, that he wrote his health report for Trump, in 5 minutes.
According to this CNN report, it stated,
“If elected, Mr. Trump, I can say unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.” This kind of extreme hyperbole, which could never be validated, reeks of Trump’s birth under the Sagittarius Full Moon. Sagittarius is the sign most known for its extravagant and exaggerated beliefs, boasted by the Sun/Uranus conjunction in Gemini, it was probably Trump himself who suggested terms like “astonishingly excellent,” with “strength and stamina extraordinary,” which according to CNN doctor Sanjay Gupta, are vague terms that are not ever used by medical doctors.
Born during a Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius, Donald Trump’s Sun and Uranus are in the sign of trickster shapeshifter Gemini, and both planets are on his North Node, his point of destiny. These are opposite his Moon in Sagitarrius on his South Node. Thus, Trump comes into this lifetime having cultivated the Sagittarian shadows of dogmatic and extreme beliefs, and foot-in-the-mouth speech, colored by an inability to censor his bold and outrageous opinions (Sun/Uranus in Gemini).
A Mercury Retrograde can be a time when this kind of shady activity can leak out. We should remember that Mercury was also the god of thieves, cheats, and liars—let’s call them con artists, possibly those who pay off others for information or public opinion. And also those who can squirm their way into the limelight by knowing the right people to feed those opinions to the public (Trump’s Sun is in the 11th house of “friends in high places”—the communal links to spheres of influence.” Thus, Trump timed his appearance on the Dr. Oz show to validate his health records.
Given that he is a Gemini Sun, we think that Trump could be more affected by a Mercury Retrograde cycle, and in this case, he tried to work it to his advantage, even though his game is obviously rigged.
We should note that Trump’s rise to this position in American politics is due mostly to the ratings he gives to the networks that air him. Leo Risings can’t hide (see George W. Bush), and are sure to get noticed even if they don’t want to (think Johnny Depp).
But Trump brings defense, aggression, and a seething desire for conflict with the planet Mars rising in fixed Leo. This is an arrogant and self-assured leader who will not take no for an answer. Indeed, there may be truth to Trump’s supposed ‘stamina,’ with the planet Mars rising (not uncommon in the charts of athletes.) But fundamentally this volcanic combination makes for outstanding media ratings. Note this comment from from the chairman and president of network CBS, Les Moonves:
“It may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS. The money’s rolling in and you know this is going to be a very good year for us. It’s a terrible thing to say but bring it on Donald, go ahead, keep going…”
I highly recommend this penetrating and insightful documentary from Al Jazeera—a seething investigation into the lack of regulation in American media and how it creates the political situation—the erosion of decomocracy in the U.S. It is important to recognize that no news outlet is neutral in the United States—all are corporately owned and have investments in airing certain opinions (Trump and Clinton) and not airing others (Bernie Sanders).
Inside the word “politics” we find “pole” as in polarizing. Politics continues to polarize and distract us from the truth of the one pulsating, all-pervasive Spirit that binds all of us, the interconnected web of life, the stardust in all our blood—no matter race, gender, religion.
In addition to Jupiter in Libra and the Fall Transits, on our teleclass next week, I will share some more insights about Trump and Clinton’s charts and what astrology might say about the results of the upcoming elections. Hope you to see you on the call.
JUNO – Conditional Love and Soul-Contracts

Juno is one of the many asteroids I discuss with my clients in my Asteroid Allies readings. Since Juno is on my MC, my midheaven point of career, I’ve studied her significance quite a bit. Juno is a complicated archetype, which makes her fitting for relationships. Juno was the Roman equivalent of the Greek Hera, whose name splits into he era, meaning “the earth,” and also translated as “lady,” the feminine form of “hero.”
For the Romans, each man possessed an inner reproductive power called his genius, while each woman had her conceiving and bearing power, called her juno. Juno’s most important function was as a patroness of married women. She oversaw all major social rites and customs, especially that of marriage. From her name derives the month of June, which was sacred to her, and is still the month with the greatest number of marriages.
In one story of their origin as a couple, Zeus develops a romantic longing for his sister Hera as he spots her walking near a mountain. He changes himself into a cuckoo bird. In Greece, the cuckoo’s cries announced the rain that brought forth the food and fruits, so the bird was considered a harbinger of fertility. Zeus, as god of storms, then caused a powerful rainstorm to descend, and he flew, shaken and shivering from the cold into Hera’s lap. Hera took pity on the bird and wrapped it with her cloak. Immediately Zeus took his original shape and ravished her. And here is the important point: Hera feels shame for her violation, and so marries Zeus out of guilt and obligation.
This version of the myth recounts to me the soul-contracts which two people fashion between each other in the spirit-world. There is a sense of pathos, compassion, or divine pity we feel for those who are members of our soul-cluster. We play various roles with them from one incarnation to the next, and we are obligated to do so, in order that we may grow and develop into a greater sense of wholeness. As we continue with Juno’s significance, we will see that she has much to say about our cosmic appointments and our karmic duty.
In one of my most important relationships, I met a woman the day after she found out she had gotten pregnant. I immediately provided a nurturing role for her. I showed up exactly at the moment when she needed the support of a spouse. In studying our Juno contacts, I found that my Juno was within just a few degrees of her South Node, the point most associated with past lives, linking our souls across space and time, most likely as partners before. Juno transits can also signify when these key connections will seem to magically appear in our lives.
In another version of the Zeus-Hera myth, the two gods mate in secrecy in a palace beneath the sea on the island of Samos. They partner up as equals, enjoying a three-hundred year honeymoon of limitless bliss. But then the soap opera starts once Zeus brings Hera to Mt. Olympus, and rarely do we hear of any shared bliss between the divine couple again.
Why? As king of the gods, Zeus indulges in many affairs with mortals and immortals alike, at times arrogantly displaying his conquests for all–including his wife–to see. In the stories, Hera repeatedly plots revenge, at times humiliating Zeus. The two punish and manipulate each other as only the best and worst of beloveds can. This tragic component is fundamentally interwoven into our astrological Juno contacts, especially highlighted by the notion of the gods’ honeymoon, isolated in the palace beneath the sea.
One of my potent Juno contact was a relationship which began at Burning Man – an instant falling-in-love. For a year, we navigated the long distance dance, which ultimately had an overwhelming sadness to it, where we wanted so bad to be with each other, but circumstantially could not. Both of our Junos were conjunct, within just a few degrees, so that we mirrored our concepts of the sacred partner. Our few moments of re-union over vacation times were blissful, but recalled the ‘artificial heaven‘ of the Hera-Zeus honeymoon.
It is important to mention here how the aspect of undulation occurs in our Juno contacts. Because of the depth of the connection on a soul level, we find ourselves possibly leaving and returning with these partners, The Greek myths emphasize Juno’s need for retreat in solitude and renewal, as her empathic link to Zeus seemed to require her to bathe in the waters of the spring of Kanathos to regenerate herself after hearing of Zeus’ love affairs..
The Juno role will be projected on anyone considered to be our “primary partner,” the person we check in with, the lover we live with, or the one we share our body and soul with–whomever knows us better than anyone else. She is the one, whether male or female, who we bear our naked souls to in utter vulnerability. This vulnerability is what frightens us, because we can no longer hide. At any moment, that Juno partner can use their knowledge of our fragile and weaker parts against us. On the other hand, with a reciprocal bond of respect, the Juno partner can act as a guide who perceives the various layers of our psychological fabric, if we are willing to see ourselves mirrored.
The fears and promises of naked transparency with another demonstrate the Scorpio and eighth house flavor of Juno’s meaning in her revelation of certain pathologies in relationships—fears, sacrifices, power struggles, and also the potential of soul-blending. These fears include the fears of betrayal, abandonment, and even the overwhelming intensity of sexuality itself. The fact that Juno has been in Scorpio since the end of 2015, is retrograding here and at the last degree of Libra in early Summer, and will not leave Scorpio until November suggests that all of our closest relationships will reveal our deepest shadows and test our potential for alchemizing the dark reflection into the light emanation.
You can check out you and your partner’s Juno and many other asteroids, like Vesta, Ceres, Eros, and thousands more on my new Asteroid Allies readings here.
The Divine Plan Tidal Wave: Pisces Solar Eclipse and March Transits

It sounds cliched and new-agey, and the ego despises it. But LOVE knows its Truth and this Truth produces Faith. What mantra of the Universe delivers us from the shackles of fear into the liberating arms of Faith?
Everything happens for a reason.
There is a plan.
The Divine Will IS.
Approaching March 8th’s Pisces Solar Eclipse, our faith and trust in The Plan will be tested for the most powerful eclipse of 2016 will be fresh off the heels of a Mars-Mercury square and Sun-Neptune conjunction during the week of March 1st. We must be careful with reactive and aggressive words during this week, with an inability to protect ourselves since the Sun-Neptune conjunction makes boundaries obsolete. We may seem to be feeling EVERYTHING happening in the world all-at-once. Yet empathy, compassion, and unity can be realized in our more quiet moments of contemplation or in opening our channels to art, music, and dance.
These moments of lucidity can return us to the unfolding of the Divine Plan.
Aristotle and other ancient philosophers called this concept The Telos: the overarching aim, and the ground of Being which gives purpose to all. We as intuitive beings know that it’s all going to work out, but we don’t know HOW it’s going to work out, because that’s what we came to LIVE out. Spiritual teacher Matt Kahn uses the metaphor of the novel: “We are wanting resolution that happens in a future chapter during a chapter that it’s not meant to arrive. And then we pretend that it might not work out, which means that we have to try and run around and figure it out, even though: Everything Always Works Out.”
We see and feel this in every meaningful synchronicity in our lives, in the signs, in the symbols, in the esoteric languages —astrology, numerology, Human Design—which so clearly reflect our lived processes, our experienced patterns.
SPRING PUZZLE PATTERNS
Amidst three different T-Square configurations, including the faith-bending, structure-dissolving, go with the crazed flow Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune/Chiron T-Square – this eclipse window, and the Spring that follows, is going to be like riding the breeching humpback whale straight into the shadow core of our wounds and into the potential for successful mentorship, spiritual healing, and even business breakthrough. But the journey will be a majestic overwhelm, a furious wave of mad, but necessary impermanence, the slippery blubber of our realities disintegrating before us under a tidal wave of change.
The eclipse window, between March 8-March 23rd—a Lunar Eclipse in Libra—always suggests the potential for total transformation in major areas of life such as career, relationship, living environment, and outer identity. The Death/Rebirth experience, however tumultuous, is an evolutionary necessity at this time, in order to progress. This will be most acutely felt by those with angles or planets in the mutables signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.
By March 15, Venus joins the Sun and Mercury in Pisces, Jupiter in Virgo, and Mars and Saturn in Sagittarius to add the spice of the God and Goddess to this Mutable cocktail of planets. If these transits were a mixed drink, they’d be the Long Island Iced Tea, with so many different planets swirling, spiraling, and a
The most important aspect of 2016 to consider is the Mutable T-Square between Jupiter in Virgo, Saturn in Sagittarius, and Neptune in Pisces. Mutable signs are the wild cards, the shapeshifters of the zodiac. Marked by their malleable nature, these signs take the element that they are in and adapt and evolve it to the point where they become influential teachers and inspiring artists.
However, the challenge with the Mutable T-Square comes with its rapid flux and undulations as we are incapable of holding on to truths that seem to evaporate just as we finally allow ourselves to mold into them. The first key to surviving all the change in 2016 is to surrender into Faith. Chapters 17 and 18 of A Course in Miracles speak directly to this Spring’s Call for Faith:
There is no problem in any situation that faith will not solve. There is no shift in any aspect of the problem but will make solution impossible…Is it not possible that all your problems have been solved, but you have removed yourself from the solution? Yet faith must be where something has been done, and where you see it done.
The second key to success in 2016 is to embrace impermanence and to avoid the attachments and disappointments that arise with expectations. The T-Square challenges us to integrate disparate elements and us masters of mutability will allow the flow to guide us where Spirit wills in the year ahead. We cannot allow ourselves to suffer frustration as apparent realities evaporate before eyes, for this process will fuel both the imagination and the heart of the philosopher-poet—the archetype which carries the torch in 2016. What do you truly believe and how do you pulse that truth every day? What is your mantra that begins your morning and carries you through the mad and mysterious tides of our shapeshift existence?
Fire Monkey Chinese Year 2016
The Cayenne Monkey Year
The Monkey year in the Chinese calendar provides ample opportunities for innovative spontaneity and creative experimentation. Monkey resonates with the zodiac sign of Leo—affirming that charisma, charm, and playful enthusiasm will support the shifty, stimulating environments and relations this year.
The Fire Monkey confirms what we explored in previous newsletter—the shapeshifting and adaptability needed with 2016’s mutable square and with the numerology of the 9 year—the more that we hold on, attach, and affix, especially to the past, the more we will likely suffer It’s like we’re all suspended from precarious branches over a huge campfire—we can take the leap to another tree, clap our monkey hands and entertain and laugh with each other, even if we slip on the next branch. Or we can burn our tails from hanging on too tight.
We all know that the monkey is a fickle animal, easily distracted, and this energy is true in relationship as well, as romance and generosity are potential allies, if we don’t get overwhelmed and irritated with our “monkey mind” and the silly games it can play.
Fearless, uninhibited self-expression can create inspiring leaders this year, especially when we follow our passion with determined strength and dynamic passion—the invitation of the Fire element. We all benefit from how use our mental alertness, cunning, and clever engagement with new technologies as well as our physical hands to continue to learn, adapt, evolve, and heal.
Numerology’s 9 Year – Let Go and Let God

Whereas Numerology’s Personal Year describes the major motifs, situations, circumstances, and challenges you will address individually in a given year, the Universal Year describes the umbrella themes for all of humanity in 2016. 9 is the terrain we travel this year, and this landscape is summarized in one word: SURRENDER. Since the 9 year is a the completion of a nine-year cycle began in 2008, think back to what began then in your life and how it may be coming to completion, whether in career, relationship, home, or another core area of your life.
The 9 is a year of transition, preparing us all for a profound spark, an intense ignition of something brand new in 2017. But first we must fulfill our karmas, allow the mirrors to instruct us on what resistances must be shed, on what patterns but be transmuted, and what shadows must be consumed by the fire. Let go and Let God is the mantra in 2016.
Below are a few other themes to keep close to your heart in 2016’s dynamic year of change.
What must be released in the name of evolution?
• Patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture.
• Endings and Completions – Work, Relationships, Home, Projects
• Go with the flow, allow, accept
• Forgiveness, making amends, karma-clearing
• Nostalgia and clinging to the past prevents progress
• Holding on/Resistance creates destruction, shadow-actions
• Potential for transformation in all areas of life.
• Dreams/Visions/Story into instant manifestation
• Spiritual Growth, the Divine Will/Higher Power at play
What will you release in 2016?
